Made It

We arrived safely to Ayuna's hometown. It was a long journey, but we
are glad that we are here finally. Everyone is still adjusting to
the timezone. Ayuna is sleeping as I write this at 2 o'clock in the
afternoon. The girls are too, so we are glad about that. They have
been a little extra fussy, but I think that is to be expected with
the time change and all. Hopefully we will all be up and running in
the coming weeks.

The flights over were okay. Every flight we sat in different places
because of bassinets or lack of bassinets. The last flight was the
hardest I think (6 hours) because we had to hold them the entire
time, but thankfully they slept good during that flight. We had 4 /
5 days in between the international and domestic flights, so that was
good. I think we needed those extra days of rest before the 6 hour
flight.

We were greeted by snow when we arrived. There was a light dusting
as we drove into town here in Siberia. We laughed and realized that
we had skipped seasons!

Right now we are staying at Ayuna's parent's place because we haven't
found a place to stay yet, however, we will make some calls this week
to see what we can find. We realize that we may not find the perfect
place, but we hope that we'll find something that meets our needs.
Apartments are more expensive than we anticipated, but it will all
work out as it always does.

You can be thinking about Ayuna's mom. She was in a lot of pain for
the past two days because of some nerves in her face. She was able
to get into the hospital today thanks to Ayuna's sister 'n law.
Hopefully she'll get the treatment that she needs. This is not
something new. It happens every year, but is getting worse every
year. I guess we came at the right time to help.

I'll try to post some pictures later. I am on a dial-up connection
again, so things are slower, however there is wifi at a local coffee
shop so I will have to try that out.

October 30, 2007

Please be thinking of our girls and us. All off the girls in the
household are sick with colds. It is not fun, very stressful, and
emotional for all. I'm sure you can imagine.

Thank you for thinking of us.

The Twins

Here are a couple of recent photos. Paulina is the one sucking her thumb. In the other picture, Lydia is on the left and Paulina is on the right.
