Correction

I guess it wasn't enough sleep because my grammar was still incorrect
in the previous post. :)

The Gift of Sleep

What a night. Our girls slept from 9pm until 6am. Oh, yeah! It was
a gift good as I enter my 4th decade.

Recognizing Each Other

Over the past couple of weeks our girls have started noticing each other.

It's Not Wrong Just Different

When dealing with a different culture the phrase, "It's not wrong,
just different" will come in handy. The reason is because the way
people act , businesses, food, etc... may be uncomfortable for you in
your cultural mindset, but in the foreign culture you are living in,
it is not wrong.

This is especially true with buying train tickets right now. Every
time I go to check train tickets or try to buy some the sellers tell
me to come back 4 hours before the actual train leaves. That's how
the system works here sometimes. It's not wrong, just different.
Maybe next week it will be easier.

Time & Teething Twins

It seems like time is going by rather quickly, but our day to day life doesn't change much. We really need to use our time wisely each day otherwise we won't get anything accomplished. We try to think of just a few things to do each day and try to accomplish them amidst all the feeding, changing diapers, and so on. The other big time factor right now is when to do the final move to Asia. At this moment, we are thinking of going sooner because we are without an apartment to stay in here and the language school starts sooner than we arrive. We haven't decided, but are thinking through the details and asking some guys here what they think. We'll let you know when the final decision is made.

Both of our girls have teeth popping out. Paulina was the first to have one of her bottom teeth starting to appear. Lydia, the day after Paulina, had two bottom teeth appear. We guess she didn't want to be second in everything. The girls are a little fussier, but not too bed. Today has been a good day. We put them down and they cry for about 10 minutes and then they are asleep. Wish every day was like that. It's hard to do this method living with Ayuna's parents. It's something that they are not use to.

Differing worldviews are all around us. Maybe we just haven't noticed it before. One time we came home after a meeting with the girls and we were told to wipe the girls faces (they were crying at the time). Why do you do that? Because they saw a lot of people? It actually boils down to superstition. There is so much syncretism even in this home. We always need to be mindful of the example that we are portraying.

Oh, we received packages from home. We packed them ourselves. They made it in record time; less than 1 month.

I'm having trouble posting pictures, so I will try again later.

Skipping Fall

Yes, we have skipped Fall all together. Ever since we arrived we have had intermittent snow showers. This morning we had even more snow on the ground, but it will melt quickly and make things slippery.

The girls are doing much better. It seems like by the end of the weekend they will be back to normal. Right now Lydia is sitting in front of me cooing at the electrical outlet. I guess that is more interesting than me at times!

We are still trying to find time to find an apartment. Please continue to think of us in this matter.
