This Looks Like Fun

This is Lydia bending the stroller. She's a strong one.

P & L Photos

Here are some recent photos of our girls. Paulina is really trying to stand on her own. I'll try to upload a video of that soon. For now, you can enjoy the following.

This is Lydia protecting the precious little pig.

This is Lydia underneath the couch. She has learned to scoot herself backwards and one day this is the position we found her in. Go Figure!

BWB

I think this article is a little bit out of the question for us at the
moment. We'd love to try it someday though.

Backup Nonsense

Our computer has started to get bogged down a little bit with the
amount of short video clips and photos that we have taken. To be
exact we have stored 3418 files in all. WOAH!! Time to back up those
precious memories. However, I have never labeled a single one, so now
I am in the process of labeling each individual file with an
appropriate description. This is going to take some time. I think on
average it takes me 5 seconds to create the file name and choose the
next file. So, that means it will take me 17090 seconds or 284.83
minutes or 4 3/4 hours to complete this task. Math is not the
greatest, so hopefully I calculated correctly

I don't think I will do this all in one sitting.

Catastrophic Events

We just want to let all our readers know that we are fine in the midst
of catastrophic events that are taking place near by. We didn't even
feel anything where we are.
Going to a "Wal-Mart" type shopping always presents us with new things
every time. One interesting thing here is that occasionally there are
people standing next to a bin of fruits shouting advertisements about
that particular fruit. This is just want I am assuming because I
can't understand what they are saying. (Side Note: Remember to bring
recorder to the store next time.) The really funny thing is that
there may be one individual next to the pear pin shouting, "These
pears are really good come and buy some." while right next to him is a
bin of papaya with another gentlemen doing the same thing, but for his
fruit of choice. It makes for a loud shopping experience, at least in
the fruit section.

Another interesting minor culture detail is that some guys have long
pinky nails. First time I saw it I thought, "That's interesting."
while filing it in the deep abyss of my brain (no pun intended there
folks). Then I started noticing it many times over. Then I came
across this in a book that I have been reading:

"Some men allowed their pinkie nails to grow a full two inches,
because this was a sign that they didn't do manual labor. A number of
my male students had nails like this, which looked absurdly feminine
on hands that clearly had been toughened by work in the fields. But
none of the students planned on returning to the peasant life, and
their nails were a clear indication that their lives were moving
forward. Most of the long nailed men were of this transitional social
class; they tended to be former peasants who were finding success as
cab drivers, clerks, or small entrepreneurs. The truly rich rarely
grew out their nails, because their wealth was already obvious enough
form their expensive suits and cell phones."

I never thought that pinkie nails could represent so much. My pinkie
nail only represents a tool for digging "gold" out of Paulina and
Lydia's noses. Then again if someone unfamiliar with

Culture is all around us and it is an intricate part of understanding
the greater whole of society. (Reminder: Be observant at all times.)

TPR on Steroids

I have officially, in my own ability, renamed the language program
Rosetta Stone "TPR on Steroids". Sounds a little more exciting than
Rosetta Stone. However, I am unfamiliar with the term Rosetta Stone
as well. Maybe I better look that up.

We have entered a slight stretch of weather like England, but we don't
let it dampen our disposition. Well, we try not to let it dampen our
disposition. I'm sure tomorrow well be better.

We are finally rectifying our electrical situation. If you don't
recall, every evening and morning around 8 the electricity would turn
off for no reason. Even if we had one solitaire light on it would
still shut off. Recently it has been doing it during the day as well
which makes it a big hassle for Ayuna when she does laundry. So, we
finally called the electrician. Thankfully it is fixed and we won't
have to worry about the electricity shutting off on the spin cycle.
